Useful for: Commentary on issues affecting super funds. Mainly big fund issues but good for technical & policy issues

  • House Daily Bills List provides details on the progress of Bills e.g. when passed, royal assent etc

Useful for: Super circulars, Non-SMSF fund issues and Media releases

Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC) [www.asic.gov.au]

Australian Taxation Office (ATO) [www.ato.gov.au]
Useful for:

  • Click on "For Superannuation" (Superannuation Professionals Home Page)
  • The Legal Database is good for legislation, rulings, cases etc
  • The Forms and instructions section includes a lot of the most commonly used forms.

Centrelink [www.centrelink.gov.au]
Government agency for range of Commonwealth Services.
Useful for: Latest social security payment rates etc

SuperFund Lookup [www.superfundlookup.gov.au]
A Government website containing publicly available information about all super funds that have an ABN.
Useful for: Identifying the complying status of a fund and viewing contact details for the fund.

Treasurer’s Office [www.treasurer.gov.au]
Particularly the Assistant Treasurer and the Minister for Revenue who are responsible for superannuation matters
Useful for: You can register to receive all Press Releases by e-mail (free of charge).
